National Industries for the Blind (NIB) can trace its beginnings to the 1938 Javits-Wagner-O’Day Act, which was amended in 1971 and is currently known as the AbilityOne Program.  NIB was incorporated with a mission to enhance the opportunities for economic and personal independence of persons who are blind, by creating, sustaining, and improving employment.  NIB and its associated agencies serve as the largest program responsible for the employment of people who are blind.

NIB was challenged with the inability to analyze high volume eCommerce data.  NIB  worked with BizTech to implement a Oracle Business Intelligence with a custom data warehouse as well as Oracle Financial Analytics, Supply Chain and Order Management Analytics and Procurement and Spend Analytics in order to gain insight into sales and the supply chain.

A Single Version of the Truth

Ametek is a leading global manufacturer of electronic instruments  and electromechanical  devices.  The company has 10,000 employees at more than 70 manufacturing locations in  the US and 30 countries around the world.

Ametek’s senior executive team challenged BizTech with the need for executive members to focus on the same data using different metrics and hierarchical structures to manage and evaluate performance internally and  externally.  BizTech rapidly delivered customized dashboards for user defined performance metrics with an intuitive interface that allows users to easily choose between different hierarchical views and drill to lower levels of detail.  The solution incorporated Oracle Business Intelligence and Oracle Financial Analytics that sourced data from SAP.

Secure Census Data

Devereux is 96 year old nation-wide non profit organization providing services to those with emotional, developmental and educational disabilities.

Devereux challenged BizTech to produce reports for client census data across entire organization based on fragmented system data, standardize metrics across the organization and reduce labor associated with their existing reporting while securing data at the lowest levels of the organization.  BizTech implemented Oracle Business Intelligence and a custom data warehouse that enabled the timely delivery of secure census reporting based on integrated data from disparate data sources.

Financial Transparency

Vocollect, a business unit of Intermec, is the number one developer and manufacturer of voice solutions for mobile workers worldwide, helping customers achieve a higher level of business performance through voice.

BizTech worked with Vocollect to implement rapidly Oracle Business Intelligence, Financial Analytics and Supply Chain Analytics. As a result, Vocollect  increased financial transparency and an understanding of global customers.

Sales Insight

Founded in 1992 as a high-technology network and systems integrator, Unitek Information Systems made its presence felt in the innovative IT/IS integration and support solutions segment at a very early stage.

Unitek was unable to view and analyze sales data nor reconcile sales and financial data by business unit.  Unitek worked with BizTech to create an interactive dashboard with sales and financial data based on a customer data warehouse.

Acquisition and Oracle Business Intelligence

The Royal Bank of Scotland Group formed nearly 300 years ago and one of the largest financial services groups in the world. RBS Greenwich Capital was one of the first relative value arbitrage trading firms.

As a result of a recent business acquisition, RBS was challenged to rapidly integrate the acquired business and technology infrastructure. RBS worked with BizTech to implement Oracle Business Intelligence and Financial Analytics to provide a single version of the truth across multiple source systems.

Eating Sales Data for Lunch in CPG

Pinnacle Foods Group is a leading producer, marketer and distributor of high-quality branded food products with more than 4,500 employees in North America with produces found in 85% of households

Pinnacle worked with BizTech to implement Oracle Business Intelligence on top of an existing custom data warehouse and Essbase database.  As a result, Pinnacle was able to eliminate the manual effort associated with preparing a daily sales report and easily analyze sales data at both an aggregate and detailed level.

Financial and Procurement Analytics at a Broadband Provider

LightSquared is a broadband provider with the mission to revolutionize the U.S. wireless industry with the creation of the first-ever, wholesale-only nationwide 4G-LTE network integrated with satellite coverage.

LightSquared was implementing Oracle EBS and was looking for an enterprise reporting solution. LightSquared worked with BizTech to implement Oracle Business Intelligence, custom real-time reports and dashboards based upon eBS views, Financial Analytics and Procurement and Spend Analytics. As a result, real-time reports allow financial managers to immediately view the impact of month end journal entries and procurement managers can continually identify opportunities to reduce expense and improve procurement performance.

Migrating from Discoverer to OBIEE to Gain Sales Insight

Knouse Foods is an established growers’ co-op with a 50-year history of providing the fruit products.

Knouse Foods relied on Discover as the reporting solution, yet found that they were unable to support sales and margin analysis, sales commission calculation and the ability to drill into financial reports. Knouse worked with BizTech to implement Oracle Business Intelligence, Financial Analytics and Supply Chain Analytics while being able to migrate a significant amount of legacy reports from Discover to Oracle Business .Intelligence.
