Oracle OpenWorld 2008 CRM Highlights

Social CRM is an area that has generated a lot of buzz in the CRM universe ever since Oracle introduced the Oracle Sales Prospector at last year's OpenWorld event.

Oracle continued to pave the way on Social CRM innovation this week, when it previewed new Social CRM applications at OpenWorld 2008.

Here are some of the highlights:

  • Sales Campaigns Introduced as a product that was designed to be so user friendly that even a sales person can create and analyze the effectiveness of e-mail marketing campaigns, Oracle CRM uses a wide array of social networking opportunities including tagging, ratings and comments. The tool also includes embedded pre-built analytics to monitor and segment email campaign responses.

  • Sales Library How many different presentations does your sales staff have, and can anyone find them when they need them? This was the driver behind the Oracle Sales Library product. The Sales Library delivers social networking tools for rating, reviewing and tagging presentations. Oracle Sales Library enables representatives across the organization to quickly and easily leverage sales materials that help sales reps to close business quickly. The resource also saves time because sales people don't have to build sales presentations from scratch.

  • Oracle Mobile Sales Assistant and Oracle Mobile Sales Forecast Two new mobile applications for the iPhone will be free to download from the Apple App Store in November 2008. The Sales Assistant and Mobile Sales Forecast allow users to easily access and quickly update contacts, users, accounts, leads, opportunities, the CRM calendar, the task list, the message center and forecasts.
